HELP!!!!!

I am a single mother of two children, in need of your help. I am experiencing some great deal of frustration with "Larry H. Miller Chevrolet of Provo" (2125 N. University Pkwy. Provo, UT 84604,). I went into "Larry H. Miller Chevrolet of Provo" on February 19th, 2014 around 8 pm. I spoke with a CRC sales representative. I told him I was very interested in the Chevy Cruze model, but knew I had bad credit due to my divorces and never had financed a car on my own. But had taxes coming anyday and wanted to put $4000 down. He ran my credit and said we can get you into a used Chevy Cruze 2011 (Base model, 50403 miles, $29335.36 total sales price at 17.99% rate, payments of $351.88 a month, 1st payment starting on 04/06/2014, 72 payments total) he said he could get me into that car, I needed to just get car insurance before I could take the car. We signed contract and paperwork, I was under impression that since he ran all my info, credit and filled out all papers I was basically in the car. I got my full coverage insurance next day and even paying huge portion of the 6 month policy to have only the car payment to focus on for the time being. Not knowing I was so in for a long very frustrating process.

As my first car payment due approached I tried to contact the dealership to find out who I pay my payment to and was concerned about my temporary tags expiration on (04/21/2014) I had no luck getting ahold of anyone just secretary who I left messages with that never got returned. I ended up just going in to the dealership and was sent to Deejays office where he told me they were trying to finish up my paperwork and so on. I asked what else needs to be done, He told me it was just the bank they were waiting on I was confused but knew that stuff takes time but didn't think that long. I asked about temporary tags expiring on the 21st he said that oh don't worry if I get pulled over that they would just pay the ticket. Then I asked who or what should I do about my car payment I had blank check but had no idea who to write it out too, he said he would just take it and I asked him to copy it and sign paper so I had proof who I paid since I found it odd. Late I went in to get my oil changed with the total care auto I purchased with the car and they told me they needed me to sign new paperwork. I looked at the paperwork it was way high interest rate and payments over $400 a month I said I needed to speak to my mom and stepped out to call her she said not to sign anything till she got there that weekend from CO, so I waited for her. Then with my mom with me they had changed the papers again and lowered it again and was only $20 more a month. So I signed hoping that it was now a done deal and would be dealing with the bank. My mom asked them "now this is it, you dont need anything else its all done" (05/03/2014).

But then next day a call from them saying they goofed up they forgot to change the date on the papers, that they just needed to change the date to the current date and it was done. I looked over the paperwork once again, the numbers where all the same just date was different. But found out they changed stuff with my total care auto interior/exterior when they had told me they would fix all the dents and scratches because it had a lot. Then they called me again said they forgot to have me initial something I was so frustrated by now but bit my tongue. I received a voice mail saying that all of it was done hope I enjoy my purchase.

Then they told me it wasn't done. I was more then frustrated by now seeing that I had planned to move closer to my mom in CO, which I had told Deejay (my sales rep) do to having problems do to some hardship and troubles with daycare so on. Then they said it was my license I had spaced renewing it on my birthday I went ASAP to get it renewed and get this all done, then they told me to lie to the bank so on... About my job I just quit because I was moving but this all should have been done months ago. I still have the car with expired temporary tags and almost have had it 6 months I asked if I can get my $4351.88 back when I bring the car back they told me that's not up to them it's up to finance, I feel like that's not gonna happen. I just want to be treated fairly for its my money if they take or want the car back. It's been so frustrating and I am literally dealing with a great amount of stress/anxiety due to this all. The sales guys have bullied and flat out lied to me I have saved all of my text messages receipts documentation so forth I have numerous voice mails from them saying same thing "trying to wrap this up one more thing over and over". I have had every unprofessional situation with them making me uncomfortable like when I would go into the dealership the sales guys would be saying things that made me uncomfortable in a cat calling unprofessional way. They never return phone calls nor handle any of this in any timely manner honestly do not know if they can sell a car or how they ever have.

I waited a long time to get a car since my ex took mine left me stranded with brand new baby and my oldest child of 12 yes old I walked everywhere for a very long time. I never gave up I finally get a car to be ripped off and bullied I don't understand what this world is coming to if a bunch of guys in suits in a very known dealership take advantage of a single mother of 2 just trying to finally get ahead. Life is hard enough as it is I expect a big dealership to know what they are talking about when they sign papers and take a large amount of money from me........"How is this not illegal!"

The LHM chain is very well known in the car business as a PRIME EXAMPLE of The Sleazy American Car Business!  Many consumers know this, other dealers know this and the regulators know it as well.

Do what Nate suggested and don't waste time.  You were the victim of the Spot Delivery Scam just as Nate has said.

When it comes to scams in the car business, hold your nose.  The stench of the LHM chain is incredible!

You need to immediately contact the Utah Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division.  You are a victim of the 'spot delivery scam' where you were put in a car with no financing in place.  This scam is illegal in Utah and you need to let the authorities know.  Just search for Utah MVED and you will find how to contact them.  They will assist you.
