Larry Jay Kye offered stud service on a Doberman male named Deacon Von Landgraf. This dog held an IPO 3 title and I bred my female to him with the assurance from Larry Kye that he was in perfect health. After I used his male ,  I was told by several people that his dog was in heart failure and in fact did die from DCM not long after that. Larry Kye knew the whole time and what's worse he looked me straight in the face and lied. He also did this to two other people that I know of. Now we have litters of Dobermans that are ticking time bombs and a huge problem to the gene pool and breed. Larry Kye is nothing but a greedy liar pretending to be in the breed to improve it. But really it's just about his ego and him placing high in trials in a small club and having the bragging rights. I see that he now has a son of Deacon he is working and studding out. I guess if the dog bites , breed it ! I want to expose this man for what he is. He's a liar and hypocrite. And also the Vice President of The United Doberman Club ! What kind of club has a member like that , let alone a Vice President ??? Not a club for the betterment of the breed.

After reviewing Deacon v Landgrafs breeding records which he only had 4 breeding I would suggest the person reporting this incedience to my breed club the UDC & DPCA if you truly feel you have a issue. Certainly call me or feel free to email with your issues. I have been in contact with the people that had breeding with Deacan v Landgraf and personlly they have no problems. I would suggest that this is a false report. You first my friend need to have a education on DCM genes and how they work. Slander of ones name is not good and all of this false news you are putting out can be traced. I would suggest you get a real job because you are failing in the dog world.

First of all Deacon v Landgraf showed signs of DCM after his 6th birthday! Everyone who knows this dog know this dogs story. He was a breeding stud dog and has puppies on the ground that are 3 years plus now. He tested 3 different times showing vpc's and clear also. Deacon was a National level IPO 3 dog not just a local dog so don't sell him short.  I did health testing on a regular bases with him. The gene testing at present will not give you a true picture of your dog. The holter program is used to check dogs for vpc's. The echo is done young for a base line! Both of Deacon parents were 10 years plus when they died. DCM could not show up for 3 generations and rasie it head again in the next generation. Its all about how the genes match up in the breeding! I have seen pdk4 homo live to be to be 12 years old and clears drop dead at 3 years old. What I find with most people they don't have the facts about DCM and they don't spend the money testing their animals. I was told that 60 % of the Doberman pedigrees have DCM in them. I was also told by UM if we stopped breeding because of DCM in the pedigree we would loose the breed. I have a group set up on Facebook book for Deacon v Landgraf progeny ! I was hoping some people would actually health test their dogs and give Report back on progeny group. By the way I spend $5000.00 at UM cardio unit with Deacon. Now you made note that I was training Enzo yes I am and he is progressing fine. He has passed his breed survey which is equal to a German ZTP and completed his IPO 1 plus passed all his health testing. That is not to point that DCM could take him out of this world as bloat or hips could take a shepherd down. All breeds have different issues. Yes I'm a member of the DPCA and the UDC.
