Exact thing they pulled on us... They are denying everything they told my husband about the insurance not paying for their portion. They quoted us and tacked on a bunch more money. Never did they communicate with my husband about our insurance finally paying for the portion. The office staff are rude, abusive and have no intention about clearing up this situation. They have called and threatened my husband and has been very abusive. Horrible customer service. Now they are denying that they ever told my husband that our insurance wasn't going to pay their portion because the insurance said that the dentist or oral surgeon pulled a perfectly good tooth.
Worst experience ever! Rude and non caring.

I am responding to the above complaint. First of all, we only bill out procedures that are performed. We work with the patient in billing out insurance. We would never try to settle the matter with the patient if the insurance is covering treatment. The patient would be liable for any treatment that the insurance did not cover. We always explain that it is an estimate from the insurance and our signed treatment plan also lists this.
Our office manager is extremely friendly and gets kudos from our patients. Las Vegas Oral Surgery is accredited from AAAHC. We are members with Compliance Alliance and SCATS(Safety Consultation and Training Section). There are very few dental offices who welcome these two organizations into their office.
Dr Ponce is 1% of the nation receiving her Masters in AGD(Academy of General Dentistry). There are very few dentists who put the effort into achieving this award. Dr. Ponce is currently one of 5% that holds a Fellowship in the AGD. We abide by OSHA and all state and federal guidelines. We train our staff in infection control and hold meetings regarding proper guidelines. We are a very few select of dental offices in the nation that is accredited by AAAHC.
UCLA is an excellent school that has trained Dr. Ponce in proper guidelines for dentistry. We appreciate our patients and have a large referral basis due to our care for them.
We have never "pinned" a patient down and we are not fraudulent with our staff or patients. We have a large group of employees that have been with us many years. If a patient had to go to another dentist to have work redone, I would assume that patient would have contacted us. This has not happened. I believe this posting that I am responding to is fraudulent. You are always welcomed to post your name or contact the office directly. We are good standing member of the BBB due to our above achievement with patients.
