Complaint Review: Laura Medina Kelly Evans - Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes Estates California

The supposed 'victims' who wrote this 'Rip Off Report' about Kelly & Laura are nothing but con-artists  who never paid us rent on time and then just stopped paying rent all together.  They then tried to make our mother's beautiful home seem like it was derelict - but it is, in fact, the exact opposite.  They then threaten us and force us to take them to eviction court.  They ruined all the beautiful new landscaping we installed right before they became our tenants and cost of thousands of dollars.  Everything they say about us is really just a transferrence of what they are and how they treated us.  And how they can turn the story about our own mother, who in fact does suffer from Alzheimers and dementia, and try to say we were trying to make a buck off her is just plain mean spirited.  We had to rent her house out to help pay for her care and as most of you know, this doesn't even make a dent in the cost of assisted living facility fees. And now, we are out thousands of dollars because these people took advantage of our situation and kindness.

These people were never clients of ours.  They were our tenants and according to our eviction attorney who has been in practice for over 25 years, some of the worst tenants he's ever had to deal with. We did eventually get a judgement against them....we will never see a dime of the $12,000 judgement, but we were just happy to attain a court order for them to vacate the premises.  

They caused us so much mental anquish and now they have taken it a step further by writing and posting this completely false 'Rip Off Report' about us.  The Rip Off Report company won't take it down, so we are forced to just write this rebuttal.  The Rip Off Report company wants to charge us over $15,000 to somehow make their negative post into a positive.  Since I consider that extortion, we are left to merely write this rebuttal.

Claude Grestinet/Claude Grespinet/Roy Katz/Gail Katz/Tracy Katz are the people  you should actually watch out for.  The postitive take away from this horrendous ordeal for us is that we truly understand how hard it is to be a landlord in the state of California and how important it is to take as many steps as possible to vet your potential tenants.  Sadly, when we called the prior landlord, who we found out was so afraid of these people that all she wanted was for them to leave her place, that she told us on the phone that they were terrific tenants.  We found out during our eviction process that she in fact lied to us and that she too was left holding the bag when they left her place.  The Katz/Grespinet family also never paid their real estate agent and now have two other people in line to take them to court.  Going to court is no picnic either.  You really only want to go to court as your last ditch effort.  

I feel sorry for the Grespinet/Katz family.  They clearly don't know how to be respectful and earn a living like most people and treat others with that same respect.  I hope their young son doesn't follow in their footsteps.  I also feel sorry for the next person who they are conning.
