I hired this company to remove brick column (1) and 2 concrete pads. Install 2 new concrete pads & 2 pericast columns. Paint columns. Total cost $975. These were completed on 6-12-06 & payment received in full.
On 7/25/06 one of the toppers which was caulked to the roof of my porch - came loose & is dangling now. The column is shakey on the pad as it is not attached @ the top or bottom. I have called & called this man & the last time I spoke to him on 7/28/06 he was drunk.
His coworker & brother in law has verified he is an alcoholic & drinks daily. I didn't know I was getting into such a mess. He finally gave me a receipt & warranty on 7/25/06 dated 7/24/06 w/ a 1 yr. warranty on all work.
We have called & called him & been told on 3 different occasions that he would be @ our home to fix them & he has not shown up or called to say he was not coming. Now, he will not answer the phone - his home ph will not take calls from a blocked phone (which appears he may be running from others & not just me). He will not return countless mess. we have left for him to come back & fix them. We are not even asking for our money back only to REPAIR what he's done.
I would not recommend him as we also hired him to fix a bathroom & he had to come back several times on that, too. He's very money hungry & wants as much money up front as you will give him. He runs straight to the bank to make a deposit & your check will clear before he finishes anything. It appears my warranty is only good for toilet paper @ this point. He was so worried that I would go through w/ a threat to stop pmt. on the ck. on 7/28/06 when I talked to him & he was slurring his words & he ended up hanging up on me.
He is NOT a business man. I was not even upset w/ him on the phone only asking when he would finish the job. If you see this man - RUN.
