LEO has a new move, folks.

I had just started a new job and was registering my payroll information into their system via the web.  My new job outsourced their payroll work to an online based company.  Anyway, as I am finishing the payroll thing, this "Hey! Take a super fast 5 minute survey and get a pair of shades for $5!" pop-up appears.  This pop up ad is NOT like the website and was quite distilled in infomation, in comparison.

I took the survey.  I thought it might be in relation to my new job (it kind of was).  At the end, a selection & payment pop-up window appears and I make my order.  I expected some spam, maybe a catalog or two, but it appeared fairly legit and I didn't think much of a rip-off since they were associated with a legitimate payroll company. And it was fast.

Pretty sweet thinking, LEO.

I get my shades.  They are non-descript, practically 100% polymer/plastic and cheap.  Seriously, the box they came in is of more value.  But I was OK with it, only $5, right?

WRONG.

About a month later, I notice a $90+ charge on my bank statement.  I did the same as what everyone here did and went to the website.  I didn't have to go far to become angry.

This is how I feel about LEO Shades....in my case...

LEO Shades hung a pop-up ad off a legitimate business to gain my trust.  LEO Shades distilled the pop-up and crossed their fingers I would not read/see the cleverly placed Ts&Cs because LEO is banking on how most people skim them or do not read them at all because everytime I we do something on the internet, a site wants you to check the dang box so they can cover their butts later.  They made the process fast and easy so I didn't think too much.  The catch for me is, I have no access to this pop-up ad anymore as it is NOT like the website.

THEN, they offer you an exchange if you are not happy.  I checked the box.  I signed up for this.  Sorry, but LEO is keeping my money.

I do not want your whack shades for $100, LEO.  ANYONE who has recieved a pair of your shades instantly feels like they should have gone to Walgreen's instead.

So, LEO.  I am not jumping through the hoops to get my money back.  You'll just jerk me around some more with how I checked the box and allowed you to legally and knowingly exercise crappy business practices.  AND THIS IS EXACTLY HAT YOU WANT.  You got my $100.

I cancelled this subscription immediately. My cancel code is 2006224.  I strongly suggest you do not charge me for ANYTHING ELSE.  Look me up, LEO.  I will haul your rear into court just for gigs if you try me.  I've already lodged a complaint with (my) PNC Bank.  And I hope somebody with more time on their hands than I do really gets at you and shuts you down.  Weasels.  Better yet, I hope one of those starving lawyers files a class-action against you so that it is on public record for the rest of history that you are shady thieves.

May the IRS disallow all your deductions and may you choke on a jagged bone. Have a nice day, jagoffs.
