Levee Inn - Budget Inn ripoff charged w/out services NO FUN or place to stay Greenville Mississippi
My friends and I went to Greenville,Mississippi for an event. We called around and and got in touch with a place called the Levee Inn, located on highway 82 in greenville, they had no rooms available, but Annie(the receptionist) said they have another hotel they can book us a room in called the Budget Inn, located at 700 Highway 1 in greenville.
After a 920 mile drive, ready to take a shower and relax before the show, we arrive at the Budget Inn and check into the room. We then proceded to go to the room to find out it was repulsive. When when we went up to the room on the second floor there was garbage, broken furniture and even a old car battery laying around. The door didn't open unless you push it in then kicked it. When you walk into the front room there is a table with four chairs that are stained with who knows what, as well as two more with horriable staines which looked like some either peed on it or even worse, we could only imagine. All the furiture was looked like it was out of the garbage. The toilet looked like it had never been cleaned. There was maybe two or three towels that I would never use. I wouldn't even wash my dog in the bath tub/shower. There was ashes in the dresser drawers.
After all that and thought I had seen it all, we were outside with our truck and car hauler looking in a phone book for somewhere else to stay. (we didn't even want to be in the room)we saw women being picked up and dropped off since we slept in the truck we knew it was going on all night. I wonder why? We told the owner we were not paying and we are leaving he told us "its not that bad" and "I don't care where you slept you made reservations" We found some where else to stay the following night and we got back up to Michigan and got a hold of the Manager he basically said if you get a confermation number when you make reservations you get charged whether or not you stay. I asked one of the receptionists if she would stay there and she replied "I can't answer that" WHY NOT? because it disgusting. DON'T STAY THERE.
