I bought a new 50 inch HD Plasma on 4-08-10 with a two year factory warranty. In Feburary of 2010 I reported a picture failure to LG. They refused warranty work because I did not have the original receipt.
I found the receipt on 11-01-10 and sent it to LG. Now they refuse to repair the TV because it is out of warranty; even though I reported the problem WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD, and they have record of it.

Exactly what problem would you make up? I reported a specific problem within the warranty period. Lets be realistic, Lg is looking for looking for reasons to not cover the TV.

You presented the receipt after the warranty expired. The warranty is not automatically extended because you called them during the warranty period. You failed to meet the requirements to receive warranty service.

You had problems with the TV two months before you bought it. Interesting.
