LHR INC harassing , relative calling , debt collector Hamburg, New York
This company IHR INC. has harrassed family members , called late in the evenings and was very disrespectful to family member who was not even the person they were wanting to contact , we try to call back and they were closed yet they still call us after hours , they use automated calling to numbers that should not be called . I have asked them to stop calling our family members and to contact us directly and send us any info regarding this matter so we can validate it and they refuse . they want money and will not contact us at our home they harass our family members . This is really getting into the annoying stage. if they want us to pay something they claim we owe why would they not just send us paperwork ? they have our address and numbers yet choose not to use them and degrade us and belittle us to family members .

What they are doing is illegal. They are required to validate the debt and they are not allowed to discuss the details of the matter with anyone but the debtor. Hopefully you have their address and/or have been able to look it up on line. If not, w=hen they next call you say - why yes I would like to take care of this - where do I mail the check. Once you have their address, send a certified letter stating they are to cease and desist contacting you or anyone else in your family and your employer. State they are required to provide proof of the debt, original creditor, date of the debt, amount, and any accrued interest. If they are unable to provide proof they are a scam. If they provide proof, determine if you can settle on a % with the original creditor or if you will have to work through their collection agent. Make the necessary payment arrangements only after the debt has been verified, is under 7 years old, and they agree not to contact you further.
