It looks like I was not the only one to have tried to contact Lennox Lewis' office after having every voice mail, fax, e-mail, mailed letter and hand delivered letter ignored by Jasmin Dennis. I am not sure if this address or fax number is still current but it is the one that I used to reach Lennox Lewis' business manager. The Office of Lennox Lewis 420 W. 45th Street, 1st Floor New York, NY 10036-3503 FAX: (212) 245-2988 Here is an article that appeared in Metro shortly after LS went belly up. According to the article, Lewis is "fully aware" of the situation. *** Lennox's fitness centres go broke October 1, 2004 A chain of fitness clubs in Toronto owned by retired heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis has filed for bankruptcy. Life Sport closed its doors late last week and is in receivership with creditors owed an estimated $5 million, according to bankruptcy filings. The decision leaves about 2,000 members without a gym and about 100 workers without jobs. There are three clubs: one in North York, one in midtown Toronto, one downtown. "The company ran out of funding. We closed all three clubs and we're marketing the assets,'' in a bid to recover some of the money owed, said trustee Paul Casey, who is overseeing the insolvency. "It's a sad and simple situation." A large share of the $5 million is owed to two secured creditors. There won't be any money left to compensate unsecured creditors, said Hubert Neubrand, an assistant to the receiver handling the bankruptcy. Included on the list of unsecured creditors is the City of Toronto, which is owed about $99,394. Efforts are being made to compensate employees who lost about a month's worth of pay, Neubrand said. One fitness trainer contacted by the Star says he's owed between $4,000 and $5,000 in lost wages. In the months before the closing, a number of employees said they either received their pay late or, when they did get paid, their cheques bounced. It's unclear how large a financial stake Lewis had in the clubs, or what his liability is. The business, incorporated in 1994, is listed under Jasmin Dennis, the CEO. She did not return calls, and Lewis couldn't be reached for comment. But Lewis has been made "fully aware'' of the situation, Neubrand said. Lewis, who won the heavyweight gold medal for Canada at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and Tie Domi of the Maple Leafs were originally partners in the business venture, but Domi's involvement ended after 2000. The clubs offered more than the typical gym, incorporating health centres with chiropractors, nutritionists, massage therapists and acupuncturists.

I'd like to point out a few things here: 1. David has been responding to every single comment here. He seems so defensive and sounds so guilty. If a person was confident that none of the statements were true, he could care less about it and continue with his life. Just the fact that he is the only one even taking names shows his crooked character. 2. In his response to William saying 6 out of 10 companies go bankrupt. Someone did his homework in trying to come up a good bankruptcy plan. I agree companies go bankrupt because they don't know how to run a business; however, in this case it is very evident that the company went bankrupt as they intended to steal money from the company. If that wasn't the case how come NOT A SINGLE PERSON got their refunds back despite numerous attempts. 3. Once a thief, always a thief. I don't think someone would just make up the mall camera story or even the story with David paying his girlfriend. How do you explain a charge from MAXIMUM FITNESS(where David now works) when the person is not even a member of the gym(and probably has never even heard about its existence) but was a member of Life Sport. You mentioned that Emma Rosa was selling the member list; you seem to be her first customer...how did you pay her..cash(which you stole from us) or gym equipment(which you stole from Empress Walk)? This goes back to point 2 that the bankruptcy was illegally planned. 4. Fake promises were made every single time I visited David. He shook my hand every single time stating that Life Sport would refund me my money. A hand shake by law is a legal contract. David, you were the only point of contact and supported Emma and Jasmin in their scamming efforts. If you read Jasmin's comment she admitted that she stole and from your actions/lies it is clear that you were her right hand man. Moving on, I contacted Paul Casey Trust and they said that they recovered the assets and sold them and whatever they got will go to the secured creditors first, which means we don't get anything. However, having done some research, I was told we can go after the directors/managers. I know there are a lot of us who are very upset and disappointed with our decision to step foot in this scam. We have to figure out a way to make this a fair game. Len, William, Joshua, Patrick, Tara, Megan, Paul, Martha..etc have expressed their distress. I'm game for pitching in for lawyer fees. We should at least get a consultation. If someone has a good idea of what our options are as of now please inform us. Someone mentioned that they contacted Lennox's business manager. Can you please list the contact information. Also list Lennox's email address if you know it. Other than that we have the following information - Paul Casey Trustee 416-643-1957 Tammy Smith [email protected] 416-326-8659 My email id is [email protected] Jasmin, if you truly feel apologetic, how about you give us a number we can reach you at and settle it in a civil manner. Oh...one last thing, David, I tried calling you at Maximum Fitness like you had asked me to. Parcills answered the phone. He refused to give it to you. He kept asking me why I called and I told him that you had asked me to call. But he wanted a reason and asked to take a message. Why aren't you answering any calls. Who are you hiding from ? The only lies here are those coming out of your mouth and its pretty clear who is embarrasing himself.
