Lifepoint U.P. Health Portage Fired for misconduct without going through the proper channels according to the handbook. Hancock Michigan
I was fired from my job just under a month ago. I worked my whole shift and was fired at the end of it. The only thing the new human resource director said was that she had a complaint from a patient that I was rude. She didn't even give me a chance to find out what it was about. I was told to hand over my badge. They never walked me out. I just left. I never got the 3 day suspension that the handbook says is supposed to happen first.
I think I was forced out because I voiced my opinion about the deplorable ways that place has been run. Short staffed and no Hippa being recognized. Overworked staff and very stressfull for everyone including the patients. Then I was denied unemployment and they didn't give me my P.T.O. I'm so glad I don't work there anymore but am struggling financially.
