I would like info on your lawsuit against the timeshare company. I have a similar situation with Occidental Vacation Club and I want to file a class action suit.

I have been scamed by them too, even though it was 2 years ago they took out money from my account when I told them not to. I canceled within the 14 day cool off period all I got was lies lies and more lies. I have read my contract and I even have proof of everything they said. Domincan repuplic is a lovely place its a shame these people have to ruin it and scam people just for a sale, how do they sleep at night?
I will join your group they have stolen more than 3,500 british pounds from me.

At first I found it hard to believe that RCI could be involved after being with them for 13 years... But, after receiving a letter from them in April saying "RCI takes matters such as this seriously", they have not been willing to follow-up on what steps they have or will be taking. All they have done is directed me BACK to the poor customer service of LHVC. I find this very interesting... So, I am TRULY disappointed in their lack of response after such a positive letter. Bottom line, LHVC would not have a real leg to stand on without the benefits of RCI's services. Since we can't list contact information, please contact me via Facebook. There, I will give you all of the lawyers information. His name is David and he has ALL the information about the complaints being filed. Let's get this case well on it's way to being a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, don't hesitate! THANK YOU!!!

I too have been trying to get my money back from Lifestyle Holidays. Thy have lied to me about everything: availability, ease of booking, quality of villas and first/foremost ABILITY TO CANCEL. Why would you care if I do not want to be a member, then you can enjoy to your heart's content and have more availability of the villas. Just let me out. Since you have such an in with customer service, who will not give me the time of day, please pass on your contact info so that I too may speak with them. My message to any and all that will listen------DO NOT BUY OR RENT A STAY AT LIFESTYLE HOLIDAYS VACATION CLUB/HACIENDAS IN THE DR

It's interesting to see these complaints pop up every now and again. It usually begins with some sort of complaint that the purchaser hasn't received what they thought they had purchased. Here's my opinion on your posting; First and foremost - READ YOUR CONTRACT. Did you purchase a home or car without reviewing the details of your agreement? If it's not in the contract why did you sign it? Just like you, LHVC gave us a credit towards our contract for an existing timeshare we have in Orlando. We received no offer to purchase the timeshare. When you bought your timeshare at Hollywood Beach Tower did you simply say "OK, I'll buy it!" and everything was done? No - you had to sign a contract of purchase/sale. Why did you think this wouldn't be the case if you ever chose to sell it? Why would you think that LHVC would buy a timeshare when they are in the business of selling vacation memberships? You received a generous credit from LHVC towards your purchase contract for your Hollywood Beach Tower timeshare. I read your facebook propaganda too. The reason the certificate was dated May instead of later is simply: THAT IS THE DATE OF YOUR CONTRACT. Makes sense, huh? There is no maintenance fee at LHVC - just a fee when you visit. As a member at LHVC, you are still a member of RCI if you choose. That's why LHVC deposited weeks into your RCI account. They gave you more options to travel. Yes, there are sister resorts affiliated with LHVC in, as I understand it, a reciprocal agreement. For those, you simply notify customer service and they will check availability. Additionally, just because you want to visit LHVC doesn't meant there's availability. Think of all of the other members - and there are a LOT of VERY satisfied members - who could possibly want to visit at the same time. There's a limited amount of accommodations available. We have been members at LHVC since 2005 and have enjoyed each and every visit. We've even established a successful website from which we have had numerous REPEAT reservations for the villas. We have 2 timeshares - which we now let family use because of the exceptional value and high standards of LHVC. The improvements and building has been remarkable. And the service - impeccable. Each time we begin our plans, our customer service agent takes care of every detail - with a response in less than one business day. It sounds to me that you have buyer's remorse and have chosen to drag LHVC through the mud to get what you want ... making outrageous claims and seemingly stating opinion as fact. If LHVC was engaged in bad business practices, would so many of the members, their families and friends return to the resort? I'd wager that if things are truly as you describe, LHVC would have been out of business long ago. It's too bad you're unable to enjoy the membership you purchased and spend a relaxing vacation with no worries when returning to LHVC in the Dominican Republic. You're truly missing out on a vacation of a lifetime. -PB &FM
