Linda Mendoza of American Agencies Cold call that she was a collection agency collecting on a Verizon account. We never had a Verizon account. She said if we didn't pay up our credit report would be ruined. unknown, Other
11-13-09--"Linda Mendoza" cold called me stating she was representing American Agencies collecting on a delinquent debt for Verizon. We never had a Verizon account. She said our credit report has this debt on it and wanted to file a fraud report on our behalf. I told her we would not give her any information and wanted to file a fraud report against their agency. I called her back and reached her after I found other fraud complaints against American Agencies on a Google search. She still claimed they were legitimate.
Today is Saturday and Verizon is closed. Will contact them on Monday.
