AT IT AGAIN WITH A DIFFERENT NAME!

Do not use this fake rescue organization to adopt a dog. Found a goldendoodle(so they say, but don't believe it) for sale from HOLA RESCUE online. Paid the non-refundable $25 and filled out application. The "foster" mom arranged to bring over three goldendoodle puppies and we chose one.

Hola Rescue stated that they would refund  $75 of $675 that we paid once we sent over proof our dog had been spayed.

PROBLEM IS, website was no longer valid and the [email protected] was not valid either. I went on google and looked up the company and found several of the same stories on YELP from people who had adopted a "rescue". I guess our first red flag was the $675 price tag for adopting a dog! Rather steep for a dog with no papers or AKC breed. But we thought it is for a good cause. When I read the other stories and learned that these people were buying them off craigslist and reselling I was so disappointed. The low that people will go to is gross. Stories like this is why people buy from breeders in the first place, and for what we paid, we could have bought an AKC breed. Such a shameful practice that is hurting the rescue industry.

On Yelp a Lisa Anderson has a YELP account and replies as Public Relations Director, for Hola Rescue (she even has a picture of herself) Lisa is also the woman I actually spoke with to arrange a "foster parent" to bring the dog to us "so they can see the type of home the dog goes to".

I really wish some one would take an interest in this matter and track down these people! Hearing that a company recieves a check in the so called non-profit business name and the owner of the check says they got it back cleared from the bank with  an individuals name on it is FRAUD, CHECK FRAUD IS A SERIOUS CRIME.  Those people that happen to should report that to their banks. They have the ability to go back and see who cashed it on the other side. Once more, I bet the IRS would be happy to learn about the individual who is running this FAKE "non-profit" scam.

If you are reading this and the story sounds familiar, but with another name not mentioned PLEASE REPORT IT! Nothing can be done until more people show that this is happening way too many times.

Hola Rescue is no longer "in business", I am sure they have come up with another name.

BUY from a shelter you can visit and walk into.
