Simply put. I bid and win a camera on Listia. I enter my shipping address in side-bar that has a tag  next to it called "new". 9 days later I open an email to find the seller does not have my address. I'm like, WTF??? I send it to her anyway. I am told she relisted the item, filed a dispute, recieved the credits that I won the camera for and gets to keep the camera. I fought this idiotic nonsense to no avail. They have deducted the credits from my credit bank. I had several items I needed to ship when this is going on so I said the heck with it. I keep asking for an explanation as to why the seller gets to keep the credits, the camera and relist it when I in fact did enter my shipping address on the side bar. Listia told me it wasn't for that purpose. Oh, I freakin see, it says "NEW" in red letters, the click on button says "shipping address but this isn't what it is used for. I must be an idiot so will someone explain WTF this is in fact used for. This site is a blatant scam. Probably a spin-off of eBay!

Shipping address new and Listia

I had this exact problem with Listia but a different outcome. I used the new shipping address button but the seller said she did not get my address. I did not follow up as soon as I should and it was past the 7 day rule of contact. Because I was sure I sent my address I asked for a trouble report to confirm the date the system recorded my entry. apparently I did use the button but did not push the second part that sends the adress, only the part that selects it.

I was in the wrong. The seller had the right to re-list and keep the credits by the rules. However, I believe Listia must be having issues with their users becoming familiar with the new feature, and doing what I did. They gave me back my credits and entered a neutral rating for both the Seller and I. I then contacted Listia again and told them I still would prefer the item and asked if there was a way to give her the credits for the item and receive it, and if not, to at least split the returned credits sent back to me with her to accept some responsibility for my error.

Before they could reply, I contacted the Seller, made peace with her. She already had the item re-listed so I rebid and got the item. Yes, I got it for less credits, but even at the same or more credits would have been worth the saved relationship.

I have been on Listia for a while but only active for a couple of months. It is not perfect yet, they are growing. Be patient. They are are working hard on improvements.
