In researching Littlehorse Danes, I have discovered another report against them that sounds strikingly the same as this one.
Check out ripoff report: http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Little-Horse-Great-Danes/Mineral-Wells-Texas-75002/Little-Horse-Great-Danes-Littlehorse-Great-Danes-Melody-Rainwater-Alexsandra-McDonald-Hea-1205484
Ask many questions before you buy a Great Dane from Littlehorse.
Be careful. Be willing to wait until an upstanding breeder has a puppy for you.

I used to breed Cocker Spaniels. I can say without a doubt that a puppy who survived Parvo will have bad health for the rest of it's life and that it's life will be shorten. I think that the Vet knows more than you. Where did you get your medical degree? The buyer was right in asking for a refund. The buyer has a right to receive a healthy puppy for his money. You should of sent him his refund right away without even having to ask for it. That is the difference between a good breeder and a bad one. The buyer had a 12 year old dog that probably would of died if it had of been around that puppy. You are not a good breeder.

Melody, Too bad you can't read. The original report I filed was almost two years ago!!! Although you did EVENTUALLY give me a refund, it took almost 1 year and 1 bounced check and a kind-hearted moderator who runs a reputable website for me to finally get it. It seems you have a selective memory. When I originally enquired about the reason why you cancelled the ship date of the puppy I had a deposit on, you told me the litter had come down with diarrhea and when I asked if the littler had Parvo, you replied to me "When you daughter gets diarrhea does that mean she has Parvo!!! " Later that week, you finally admitted to me that the little did have this virus. As for calling 5 times a day, when you pay $950 for a puppy and have lost a previous puppy to a fatal heart condition, just 3 weeks prior to this incident, you'd better believe I wanted to make sure this puppy would be fine and it wasn't!!! Melody, you had many other families that had deposits on this litter who lost puppies or who wanted a refund, who were very unhappy with your treatment of them. So, this wasn't an isolated incident with me. We now have a beautiful 2 1/2 year old fawn female that is happy and HEALTHY which we purchased from a wonderful breeder. Good luck to you.

This woman called me 5 times a day while I was caring for sick puppies. We do not loose half the litter and her puppy did not die. She refused to take her because she believed the drivel her vet told her. Anyone who knows anything about parvo knows that the puppies that live through it have fantastic immune systems. Last but not least she received all of her money back and I was smart enough to keep a copy of the check. We just passed a surprise inspection by the AKC and we passed with flying colors. As a matter of fact the last words out of the gentleman's mouth were "WOW". Beware breeders of selling a puppy to a malcontent such as this one. BTW, this happened over two years ago.
