Loan Modifications Associates Presented themselves as being able to help with our Motaga. Had us send payments to them instead of the loan holder. Never communicated with our loan holder. By chance looking on the web yesterday, realizes My Home was set for Public Auction TODAY! 11/17 Doesn't say Utah
These people promised to help us in modifing our home loan to bring it current. We sent our mortage payment to them as requested.
Our home, unbenounced to us, was put into forecloser. Just by the grace of God, I saw it on line One Day before it was to be auctioned off on the court house steps.
Their only advice, File Bankrupcy.

The problem is that you went with a third party instead of dealing with the loan holder directly. When you deal with a third party you take a GIANT RISK!!! The appropriate way to address this was to contact the company that holds your mortgage and ask THEM about either a REFI or MODIFICATION. Since you did not do this then your home is at risk at ANY TIME!!!! you could wake up in the morning with your local sherriff posting an eviction notice on your door and 48 hours to get out of someone elses new home. They are partially correct in that YOU would need to file bankruptcy IMMEDIATLY OR get caught up on your past mortagage payments QUICKLY. If you do not do this then there is a very good chance that YOU are going to lose your home. I understand how tight things can be so YOU need to contact the third party and DEMAND your money back as THEY did NOT do as they have promised. If they do not give you a refund you are going to have to file police reports and contact an attorney. You ARE going to need a lawyer to get out of this situation.
