Logmein Fraudulent billing practices Boston Internet
We subscribed to free logmein in 2008. THere were no charges and later we paid small charges upto $49 a year. Then we stopped using the server based software and stopped using the logmein account. Logmein had the account on auto renewal without our knowledge. The rates also went up to $99 in 2015 , $149 in 2016 and $249 in 2017. Due to personal laziness, I was unable to detect the $149 charge last year. Today my credit card alerted me. When i tried looking oline at the logmein website, there is no way to cancel the service and get refunds. We have not used the service for more than two years and they keep charging. Also I had my credit card number changed, but they still bypassed the system and still get paid. That means that these sleazy companies can continue to steal your money and Visa and Mastercard allow this !!.
