Arrived at the hotel, was a little dirty and unkept but what you would expect from a Blackpool hotel. Gentleman greeted us, told us there was no car parking space and to chance parking out side an abandoned hotel across the road. Were told the room wasn’t ready even though we arrived after the check in time. 30 minutes later we were taken to our room, past the piles of building supplies and the ceiling crumbling away, noticed the carpets throughout were dirty. Arrived at our room to fine a VERY small room, with two double beds crammed into it and a sink. No bathroom. The toilet was across the hall, I am only 5’4 but I struggled as my knees were against the door it was so small and filthy with stains all down the outside of the toilet. There was one small shower room between all 8 hotel room  We weren’t expecting a lot (even though we paid £100 for 3 people) so we left our stuff and went into town for a few hours. On returning the same gentleman shouted to us that the sink had only been put in that morning and there may be some damp on the bedroom floor and not to worry! We went back into the room and noticed a dirty patch in front of the sink, we also tried to use the plug sockets which weren’t working. I went in to the toilet to get changed and walked back into the bedroom in just socks, my feet were immediately soaked, I looked on the floor and the dirty water stains had spread to the edges of the bed and I could hear the carpet squelching. I went downstairs to the manager and advised him something needed to be done! He said whilst we were out he would get the hairdryer on it and try and soak some of it up! I advised that wouldn’t be good enough for a room we had paid £100 for! He advised us he had no other rooms available and there was nothing else he could do. I said there was no way we could stay in that room, we would leave and wanted our money back.

Suddenly this man wasn’t the manager anymore, he said the manager was an Asian man who couldn’t be reached as it was currently his Ramadan and that he wouldn’t refund us as it was too late in the day to re let the room (by now it was around 7pm) to which I replied it would not be safe to re let the room now and it shouldn’t have been rented out in the first place! The man became aggressive, talking over us and saying there was nothing else, we weren’t getting anything, to leave and he would get the manager to call us back. That never happened. I am absolutely shocked at the behavior and the treatment we received and will never ever return to this hotel, it appears after looking around that I am not the only person to experience something like this at this hotel so I am doing all I can to make sure no one else is treated this way. Avoid Lollys at all costs!
