If you are considering working with or giving money to Lori Hornyak (former owner of Mommy Perks) please feel free to contact [email protected]. The current Mommy Perks business has compiled numerous letters and emails of complaint, all naming Lori Hornyak as the person with whom they are unhappy. The letters outline businesses that Lori, and/or her husband John, have sold under false pretenses or "concepts" that this couple sold that were dishonest. Numerous letters outline payment given to Lori for marketing services never completed, advertising never given, and more. The letters speak for themselves. If you need copies of these letters for your own lawsuit or complaint filing to the governor's office for fraud, please contact us. We will be happy to hand over anything to help clear things up. Furthermore, Lori claims to have paid Rick Weiss a large sum of money. Please ask Lori to present the receipt of this payment in order to prove the truth of this statement. Lori also claims to be filing a lawsuit for slander. Again, please ask her to provide proof of this filing, as no parties have received any paperwork. All legitimate lawsuits send out paperwork to the parties being sued. If Lori has in fact filed this lawsuit, there will be proof to that effect. Again, feel free to contact [email protected] if you need copies of the numerous letters of complaint against Lori Hornyak. These letters were written by people all over the country who dealt with Lori in one way or another. People who do not know each other and who all came forward after Lori left Mommy Perks in order to plead for money back. None of these persons has a chip on their shoulder or any vendetta against Lori Hornyak - they simply feel they were scammed and/or lied to and they want their money back.

Chandler,#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

I am responding to this report that was made by the current co-owner of Mommy Perks (the former business that I started from ground up), Shara Lawrence-Weiss (also co-owner of Personal Child Stories), she needs to use her real name as she has no problem using mine. I have been advised not to respond in depth per a lawsuit that is currently being filed for slander against both named parties, however there are a few things that should be said. What she is NOT telling you: 1. I was the one who ended my partnership at Mommy Perks, not them. The terms of our partnership were very stressful and I sought a replacement for my part of the business. One of the main reasons why I left is because she wanted her husband, a web design,Rick Weiss (Design Media Pros) to have total control over the Mommy Perks website, which I didn't agree to. Each time I presented my concern about what was going on with the website I was told I was overreacting and should let Rick have control over the site. I have worked with several designers over the years and was NEVER told that they should have total control over my business. I was upset because I paid him a large sum of money to reorganize the website so we,the owners could update information and not have to pay a designer each time. Once the work on the site was almost complete they both (Shara and Rick) said that "I must of misunderstood and I wouldn't be able to run/edit the site unless I new HTML", so in essence they both lied to me and the updates were to make his job easier and that was all. I have emails where they both said that the changes would allow me to edit the site myself, however that was not true at all. 2. We ran Mommy Perks under the current laws that were in place and when those laws changed we changed the way we worded the website and changed our policies to comply with the law. Shara also sold 3 areas under these terms (one of which has been removed on the Mommy Perks website since all of this has been filed) she also gave false information to aid a friend who was a representative. Rick and Shara both took down information on the Mommy Perks website in order to help aid her friend (a current representative) who was trying to receive a refund. This friend had asked them to cover up the fact that she was receiving benefit in advertising and had received a cash refund and profit from ads that she sold at Mommy Perks in her area, they only put the website pages back up once I told them that they should not be removed until the situation was resolved properly. Shara answered on my behalf and gave information that I never said including the fact that we were ending the Mommy Perks Bag program and that we had no national representation, search online for Mommy Perks you will see all the national exposure that we worked on for over 2 years and that was just the start. 3. They are falsely stating information about liens and social security information about me, this information is not true. They also sent a letter to me demanding x amount of money or they would put my information online, this is extortion period and is being dealt with in court. John and Lori Hornyak have been in business for 4+ years and have a long list of advertisers that will back our honest business practices, including advertisers that have been with us for 4 years. This is simply a personal vendetta on Shara's part and both sides of the story need to be presented rather than just her story.
