Loteria Nacional fraud? ripoff BARCELONA Spain
Received letter dated 02-06-06 from Don Franscisco Munoz, Managing Director, Loteria Nacional, Barcelona, Spain, informing about my winning a prize. According to them they found my name attached to a ticket number which won the lottery in the 2nd category of EXTRAORDINARY EL GORDO DE NAVIDAD SPANISH SWEEPSTAKE LOTTERY/INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION PROGRAMS held on 22nd Dec.2005.
It further informs me that the selection was made through a computer ballot system drawn from 40000 names from Europe, America, Australaia, Asia and North America as part of their interntional promotions program which they conduct once every year. They further hoped that with a part of my prize I will take part in their end of year high stake Euro 1.3 billion international lottery. They Advise me to keep it top secret until money is transferred to my bank Account. The letter also mentions that all prize money must be claimed not later than 21st July, 2006. After this date, all funds will be returned to the Ministry de Economic Hacienda as unclaimed.
When I tried to fax the required details, to their mentioned claim agent Mr.Ramon Salvador Patino at Fax No.0034 699 671 274 the fax number did not respond. Again, next day I tried to fax their Payment Processing Form at the given number, it did pass but to a different fax number(940 466902). I also tried a number of times to fax the required details to Loteria Nacional at their Fax No.0034 685 387 125 but a recorded message in Spanish Language plays and the line is cut off.
Keen to know about the facts, today I surprisingly found on internet a Rip-Off Report dated June 2005 mentioning exactly the same name, address and contents of the letter received by me. However, I have not been asked to commit payment of any charges of fee to a certain percentage of the prize money.
I do not understand what fraud can they do to me. Can you please assist me. Thanks.
