Lotto Extra Promotion Deceptive Ripoff lure to Lottery winnings Eschen Internet
This is scary! I received an email from a Barbara Carter, Claim Agent, Lotto Extra Promotion, Industriestrasse 456, Fl 9492 Eschen, Liechtenstein, congratulating me as the winner of their "star prize award in the third category Lottery promotion." I was ask (Identity Fraud) to supply my full name, company name, full address, telephone & fax numbers, sex, age and a brief description of company or individual (Form BVB-1).
I emailed the requested information to a "[email protected]." I then received (a few minutes later) an email from "John" indicating that he represented Lotto Extra Lottery Organization. This was "Letter of Introduction", telling me to complete another form and to make available a minimul cost of processing your winning prize....and to complete the following "I Mr/Mrs......of.... hereby agree not to disclose this promotion to any third party until confirmation of the receipt of my Lotto mega jacket payout."
This is where I got wise, discussed it with my wife and then responded to them that they had me fooled at first, but was now taking action. I've filed a grievence with The Attorney General of Florida and now this Rip-Off Report to alert others to this scam. BTW, after my last email to them, I've not heard another word. Gracious, we live in a buyer beware world with identity fraud becoming rampant.
