Bewarew booking at Mega Cavern,

I booked 2 group tours for 23 people for mega zip for Feb. 16th. It cost me over $1300. I got a call at 8 am on the morning of the trip to let me know that the cavern was closed due to snow. Their website says that they will be open rain or snow, no matter what. They offered my group a rain check, however, my group was only in town one day. We are all from several different parts of the world. A raincheck would not do us any good. I asked for a full refund. Leslie at Mega Cavern let us know that she would have to contact the owners to negotiate a refund.

I called my entire group and let them know that the trip was cancelled. I also had to cancel the transport busses that were going to take my large group to the cavern. They were all very disappointed. 2 hours later, 1 hour before our scheduled time, Mega Cavern called to let me know that instead of a refund, they would open the cavern for us in spite of the weather. Sadly, it was too late. Several members of the group had already made new plans and I was unable to un-cancel the transport busses on such short notice.

I called Mega Cavern to explain the problem. Alec was very polite on the phone but he was unable to provide me with a refund. He told me at noon that he had contacted the owner who would be able to negotiate a refund. I waited for that phone call til 10pm. Finally, I received a Facebook message saying that they had no answers for me.

I called again on Feb. 17th and talked to Jacque who was far more verbal about the NO REFUNDS policy that her owners have created. She says that they were willing to open the cavern even though they cancelled on us hours earlier. I explained that rain checks would do us no good as we are a large group who has no plans of returning to Louisville in the foreseeable future.

I understand that there was a safety condition here but I refuse to pay $1300 for a service that I didn't receive. I hope that one of the owners, Don Tyler, Tom Tyler or Jim Lowry  can call me soon to resolve this issue.

After a few emails, they are sticking to their guns on the NO REFUNDS Policy. That puts me out $1300. I have told them that I will be very vocal about this decision until they decide to change that policy and refund the money.

Since then, instead of refunding the money, they have decided to send me to their lawyer, Nicole Cook, who has been equally disappointing.
