LOWES HOME IMPROVEMENT ZOE UNDERWOOD false job offer by HR manager! dishonest hiring practices! getting results is like trying to get peanuts from a circus elephant!!! what is going on here!!? Wake Forest North Carolina
I have been out of work after being laid off from my last job several months ago. The local unemployment office informed me that the new Lowes Home Improvement store in Wake Forest, NC was hiring for many positions. They informed me to go to the Hampton Inn hotel in Wake Forest, NC and meet with the HR representative there.
I did exactly that. I filled out an application, met with HR MANAGER ZOE UNDERWOOD, took their employment test, and was given paperwork to go have a drug screening done. I did all this and waited seven days for the drug screen results to come back. I then received a message from ZOE UNDERWOOD stating that my drug screen paperwork came back and that they'd like to offer me a position and to call her back ASAP. Since she left her message so late in the day, I did not receive it until that evening and returned her call promptly the following morning.
Imagine my surprise when this woman, ZOE UNDERWOOD, acted as though she did not even know who I was! Here she was, calling me, offering me a job, and when I returned her call there apparently was no job offer or anything of the kind! She in fact denied ever offering me a job! She asked me "what is your name again?" and said "let me pull your file sometime today and maybe I'll give you a call." MAYBE she'll give me a call? Gee, thanks!
First she calls offering me a job, and now she denies having done so and "maybe" she'll give me a call? WTF??? Now I see why so many people post reports on this board about why Lowes only hires idiots to work in their stores! I was actually looking forward to working there and shopping there, but now I think I will continue going across the street to Home Depot instead!!!
