Across the country, badbusinessbureau.com has Consumer Advocate volunteers that pound the pavement in search of consumer ripoffs and deception.

I went to the Phoenix Auto Show to look at the next years automobiles. I would like to know how much do all of these demonstrators and sales people really know about the cars they are selling.

I decide to go to Cadillac display first. This very well dressed

man standing up on a slow spinning pad talking about the new Cadillac CTS. So I ask this man, Does this new Cadillac CTS have a Fuel Recovery System ? His answer was "I don't Know" and then he replied "What Is That" ? I thought this was the time to ask more. I ask this man Do you know where Cadillac mounted the car's ECM on this Cadillac CTS ? He again replied NO !

with a question What is That ?

The ECM is the car's main computer, you might think of it as the car's brain. GM likes to mount the ECM real close to the car's hot engine in most of what they build.

If I were to even think of buying a new Cadillac or any other new car, I would want to have the chance to talk to an educated representative that knew his products. After talking to this man who could not answer my two questions, I was confronted by a salesman that works at LUND CADILLAC, L.L.C. 1311 E BELL

RD PHOENIX, AZ 85022-2797 Phone: (602) 942-4000 Fax: (602) 504-1124 (800). 479 . 1221.

It seemed that I angered this car salesman who I would

call a HOT DOG of a car salesman. I felt that he wanted to get even with me for asking questions that know body could answer.

I felt I should ask him the same questions. He said, "I DON"T KNOW." On Lund Cadillac's web site they say they hire only the best car salesmen. They also say: ... "As the "Worlds Largest Exclusive Cadillac Dealership" we work hard everyday

to set the standard for customer service and excellence".

(we are checking into the accuracy of that statement)

If this statement is true, you would think that Lund cadillac would have car salesmen that could answer the consumers questions with a better answer than "I DON"T KNOW."

Lund cadillac's web site you can read the following statement,

"As the "Worlds Largest Exclusive Cadillac Dealership" we work hard everyday to set the standard for customer service and excellence" they also say:

"Our top Salespeople earn $200,000 and over 80% of our Salespeople earn over $100,000 annually". I feel that both statements are a JOKE ! ...If this second one is true, I would not want to help a car salesman make up to $200,000 a year by buying a Cadillac from LUND.

If you agree this this Rip-Off Report feel free to print off a copy and fax it to Lund Cadillac at ( 602 ) 504-1124. you might want to email their departments a copy

a trick question and certainly beyond the grasp of any polyester-suited, white shoes and belt wearing car salesman, don't you think?....

Rebuttal:
Well, Mr. Bogart, the question about the "fuel recovery system" was sort of a trick question and certainly beyond the grasp of any polyester-suited, white shoes and belt wearing car salesman, don't you think?....But I digress.....

What interested me most was your link to the David Lewis training program. Within the benefits claimed for graduates of this program were two claims I found REALLY fascinating:

[1]>>>"Start Seeing Increases Of Up To $350
Per Retail-Unit!"<<<

[2]">>>Greatly increase customer satisfaction and
loyalty"<<< (those are copy 'n pasted directly from their site).

As an infrequent car buyer, I'm almost ready to enroll in the course. Let's see now....they're going to get deeper into MY pocket to the tune of $350. on a car deal and I'm going to be happy about it? Those guys are fricking miracle workers! That endeavor I'd pay to see.
