LVNV Funding Resurgent Capital Services, Sherman Group Horrible Junk Debt Buyer that takes advantage of people who don't know the law they will trash your credit Greenville, South Carolina
There are many collection agencies in this country. They are bound by both federal and state laws as well as many policies from the credit reporting agencies. This company does not adhere to any laws or policies and they assume that no one will ever catch them.
Lvnv buys debts from many companies. They report on your credit and use Resurgent to collect. Both companies are owned by the Sherman group.
Lvnv reports the collection accounts that they purchase as open accounts (factoring), 120 days past due and with a one-month term. They know that this will destroy your credit more than if they reported it correctly. They know that they are not open accounts after all they are charged off when they purchase them.
When you seek validation of the debt they send you a generic letter on company letter head stating that you owe them money. That is not how it works.
If you have them on your credit report contact your states AG, South Carolina's AG, the BBB and file a complaint with the FTC. Don't pay them a dime. They can't validate squat. They have already been subject to class action lawsuits and more are on the way.
