Brother Stuck in India

My brother became another victim for M and K Travel and I would appreciate if anyone can help him to come back to US in time.

First False Itinerary

My brother purchased an airticket from M and K Travel Services based in Fairfield CA from IAD (Going 07/31/2004) to New Delhi (Return 08/16/2004). The salesperson Manny asked him to pay the full amount of the air ticket via wire transfer on July 19th for a waitlisted ticket ( which the airline told him is illegal to do ). He told him that if he does not pay on July 19th then the airline may cancel his ticket. After taking the payment he didn't even bother to call him. Every time he had to call him to follow up.

He also assured him of a full refund if he does not get the ticket. On July 24 when he asked him for a refund he included a new condition that he will have to pay $200 penalty charge to the airline as he is not giving him ample time to confirm the ticket. Finally on Saturday July 31st Manny told him "It didn't happen".

Second False Itinerary

Manny told him that he can get me a confirmed set for Monday August 2nd. Since he was so close to his travel dates he had no choice but to agree with him. On Monday he tried to get him into Delta Airline and tells him that he will issue an E-ticket on Monday. On Monday he told him that the ticket is issued and the airline can see it but when he went to the counter the airline couldn't see it as it was never issued. Finally he told him another lie that Delta can't issue and e-ticket because it is a connecting flight with air france. When he spoke to the Air France representative at the airport she told him that its not correct finally he tells him that that ticket was very expensive and he will get him into another airline.

Third False Itinerary

He gives him a confirmation # for Air France and asked him to go to the air france counter. He told him not to talk to the airline about the confirmation # as they may cancel the ticket. When he finally check in his baggage he found that the return date has been changed to Spet 7th instead of August 16th. Manny told him not to worry and board the flight and he will get it preponed to August 16th within 2 days . Now he is in India and Manny is not even replying to his emails. he will lose my job if he is not able to come back to USA by August 16th.

My followup

I spoke to Manny on 08/04/2004(2 days notice from Manny that he will get a confirmed ticket), 08/05/2004, 08/06/2004, 08/07/2004 and 08/09/2004. This morning 08/09/2004 Manny asked me not to call him. He said I am waisting his time calling three times a day. He will call me back whenever he has the confiramtion.

The Mental Torture he has gone through can't be explained . They ruined his vacation. Seems they are taking everyone for granted . They need to be stopped doing business.
