I recently came across Magic Kids from a friend. During research I came across your webpage. You thought Magic Kids was ok after your research about several compaints.

I chose to give them a shot based on your positive report. This is what I have experienced. I'm not an ex employee with a problem.

I made an order and paid for it by credit card. I was told by the sponser that signed me up that the order would be shipped within 48-72 hours. The sponser later admitted that he was told 24-48 hours in his instruction manuel but he gave them more time to protect himself some.

The order was made 5-24-05. I emailed them on 5-26 asking when the would ship. I was told it would ship within 7-14 days. I emailed back that I usually recieved orders within that long of a time period and I was assured that the order would ship much sooner.

They didn't respond to the questions but said my order had been fulfilled on 6-2. I recieved my order except 12 items were sold out. Why they didn't check on that before they emailed me that my order had been fulfilled and they were on the list, is beyond me.

I have been emailing them since 6-1 with no response. I have filed with the BBB because they have yet to refund me $16.80 for the products that were sold out. My sponser filed with the BBB also since he can't recommed them to anyone and wants to be refunded his money for his info kit.

I'm glad that I didn't lose anymore than that. They have a lot to learn about integrity and honesty. I wonder what their excuse is now for such poor business practices? Did you get the shaft when you researched them? Did you fall for a line?

Not Illegal to Have Same Name as Isaac Mizrahi

I researched Magic Kids & Company as a possible business venture. I checked business licenses with the State of California, BBB and other agencies.  Next, I researched Isaac Mizrahi to identify his existing business ventures.  None were "Magic Kids & Company."  In all fairness, the company is not promoted and/or marketed as Isaac Mizrahi the fashion designer nor is it claiming to be the same Mizrahi as the designer or using the designer's likeness. Therefore, I sincerely doubt he can be sued.  It's not illegal to have the same name as another. The key to getting involved with any existing business, on any level, is to perform due diligence or fully research the company then cross-reference information uncovered in order to make the best educated decision before investing money and/or too much time.

Best of luck everyone.

I cannot say anything good or bad about this company as I have not tried it yet, but your comment is very unfounded. Is there only one "real" Isaac Mizrahi? So if my name was Isaac Mizrahi, I would not be a real person? I looked up the name on whitepages.com and there are 26 people with that same name, in several different states, and that is only what is listed there, let alone those that aren't listed in a phone book! So none of those people are real? Nowhere in his letter does Isaac state that he is a designer, let alone the "famous" Isaac Mizrahi. I don't even know what would lead you to believe that he is using someone else's name? Whether or not this is a legit company, your comment was pure slander.

I'm sure the name Isaac Mizrahi is NOT the same as the designer we've come to know. I just received an invitation to be a DISTRIBUTOR but will find the correct email address or address for the REAL Isaac Mizrahi so he can sue these people for fraud. This is an absolute disgrace and CRIME.

I researched Marilyn's complaint, and was able to resolve it for her with a check. She felt that the credit card refund time was unsatisfactory, although it did say on her refund letter that it could take up to a month for her bank to show the refund in her account. We process the refund on the date that we state, but because of the communication between the financial institutes, there was a delay in the processing. The customer is aware that her check for $16.80 is on the way to her.
