Edward from Conway, NH filed a complaint against Magnatone. We are empathetic that he lost his hearing aid. Indeed it was replaced per the loss and damage policy at the cost of a deductible. This is standard industry practice. The small print as he describes it, is 10 point type. The "folder" which he was given, I assume is referring to the warranty card informational pamphlet. I wish he would have read his pamphlet so that he would not have been surprised. Indeed, Magnatone sells devices to Audiologists and Hearing Aid Dispensers who sell directly to the public. It is truly their responsibility to inform the purchaser of the type of coverage they are receiving. I believe Ed's beef is with the dispenser, but in good faith, if he will contact me, I will gladly double the length of his electronic warranty at no additional cost to him.
