Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I contacted The Student Loan Relief program to inquire about the program for my outstanding educational loans.  The representative explained that I would need to qualify based on my income, etc.  Upon receiving my information and explaining that I qualified for the student loan relief program to have my loan amount reduced I was told I would have to pay $39.00 and some change each month.

A week later I spoke with The Department of Education and they stated that there are a lot of scam programs out there charging individuals when the DOE and work with you to reduce you student loan debt.  I then contacted The Student Loan Relief program and received poor customer service.  So I hung up and called back and spoke with Sabrina Joseph.  I explained I wanted to cancel the program.  She took all my information and stated tht she would submit the information and currently it was not showing as a cancellation request.  She stated that someone would contact me to verify I wanted to cancel.

I tried to reach someone later and got a voicemail.  Then someone tried to contact me named Jamie Miller regarding my ID assigned 307581 she emailed me leaving her contact info.  I emailed her advising that I had requested to cancel this a month ago, that I was at work and in meetings and just needed the program cancelled.  She did not respond.  Then about a week later I received a voicemail saying I needed to contact her at The Student Load Relief.  I called and then told that I could not cancel, that I should have read the contract and that no one was responsible for telling me that I have five days to cancel that it's my responsibility to read all the info sent to me.  I advised if you are trying to provide good customer service that should have been mentioned when the representative was explaining the program to me.

I told her I wasn't paying a dime for false and misleading representation and would take this to my lawyer before they would get a dime.  I deleting my bank information and had already had my school loans deferred.

I called the Department of Education and they advised me that I should never pay for anytype of student loan relief.
