Mansions Objects Steve Barnett Fake items - fraud - physical threats Internet
I want to warn others about Steve Barnett and Mansions Objects. Mansions Objects is supposedly a site selling quality vintage watches and antiques. It is owned by Steve Barnett, located in Essex, UK, and Mr Barnett describes himself as having 25 years experience of watches and antiques.
I have bought a handful of items from Mansions Objects over the past few months. I spent quite a lot of money, hoping to build a collection of fine objet as an investment for retirement. However, I recently took them to be valued for insurance purposes and found out the awful truth. All of them are either outright fakes or there was something seriously wrong with them. My investment collection is worth a fraction of what I paid.
I contacted Mr Barnett and was shocked when he became aggressive and threatened me. He had my address from delivering items and in his words threatened to 'have me dealt with'. Having spent time researching Mr Barnett and Mansions Objects I have found that he does not have 25 years experience of 'fine things'. His past has included a property scam in Spain, for which he was arrested and tried. Since then he has tried and failed at various business ventures and two years ago was sacked for theft and gross misconduct from a firm dealing in antiques.
I write this to warn others from buying from this corrupt company.
