Ive been a Margots client since they were in their old location on Old Woodward in the basement of some bldg.
The price of this place is ridiculous, I mean really. I do not balk at paying higher prices for significantly better services but that was not the case here. I am always made to feel welcomed or comfortable here, rather like a poor cousin who did not really belong.
The cheapest massage in here is $85.00 bucks and you do not even get a full hour. They up-sell you the entire time there which really detracts from any relaxation I might have gotten.
also apparently the ever changing massage therapists do not have timely health check ups or are required to have a physical for their insurance. (assuming they have insurance) I overheard one talking to another about having a skin disease of sorts, on her chest, when I was changing rooms, something about some rash that medication will not remove, yet another girl laughing loudly with someone about getting divorced after cheating on her husband. this was so unprofessional, the masseuse was dirty looking and had horrible breath, this wasnt very relaxing.
I looked up some of the dangers and I was surprised to find that numerous infectious diseases can be contracted through a massage. I find it irresponsible that health care types arent tested for infectious diseases or drug tested. especially for the price Ive paid!!
they hire right out of Baker college and Irenes claiming they have many years of experience when its only been a few massage classes. (less then 2 years study) they change girls often, I have only had a massage by the same girl twice. and the pressure was terrible, I asked for a deep tissue.
I am uninspired to ever return as its not worth the hype, you can get the same massage for under $45.00 at any chiropractors office where the health professionals have had check ups and training dealing with all sorts of conditions.
