I responded to an Ad on Backpage regarding loans. The person responding was Mark Harrison, who claimed to be a Private Lender.
Being defrauded by another person, claiming to be a Private Lender, I was mopre specific regarding the process and costs associated with the loan.
I speicifially asked, if there would be only one upfront fee? He responded and said yes. I paid my upfront fee. When I paid the fee, my loan was not delivered.
I asked why. Then he said, there would be another fee. I asked why? He gave some excuse regarding the Bank, where presumably his funds are kept.
He sent me a Wells Fargo document, whihc wqould explain the additional fee. Well, the document was a FRAUD! First, there were so many mispelled words as my first clue. Then, I took it to Wells Fargo, which I bank, and they told me it was a fraud.
However, he insisted the document was legitimate.
I gave him an opportuntty to have a conference call with Wells Fargo, but declined.
The guy is a SCAMMER!!

No reputable lender will ask for an upfront fee. None. Nada. If he/she does, it's a scam. Each time, every time, no exceptions. No matter how official their documents look, it's a SCAM. Stop looking at Backpage and go talk to your local credit union.
