This hotel is among the worst I've ever stayed at. The room is postage stamp sized, the decor is best described as "psychotic clown", there is no food after lunch, and best of all, they knew the roads outside were being worked on by road crews all night long, but of course, failed to include that information in their website.

Had I known that this hotel was un-rehabbed, and that the roads around it were being reconstructed at night, I would have taken a hotel room almost anywhere else. But, of course, Marriott wouldn't do that - preferring instead to sucker the unknowning customer into their hotel on a non-refundable basis.

This experience is ensuring that I will - at any cost - avoid any Marriott hotel, anywhere in the world in the future. I urge you to do the same.

Marriott is a great company. I stay at Marriotts all the time and they are a responsible company and work hard to provide quality service to guests.

As an employee of Marriott, I am very sorry to hear of your problems at the Tremont location. I pulled up the summery in our 2005 travel directory, and it does inform you that the only meal served on site is breakfast. Courtyard By Marriott is what we call our buisness class hotel so is there a possibility that the internet was having problems during your say as it does say it's a new property and all new properties do have kinks to work out. I do find your crazed clown decor comment suspicious since it's a brand new property and as of early this year all of our hotel rooms are white, white and more white. I find this ugly but that's what they are. Finally there are ways to get satisfaction from Marriott itself, first go to the MOD (manager on duty) there are usually a few little things they can do for you themselves. Usually this is the front desk clerk working that particular night. If that fails, go to the Operations Manager, they have even more options including free nights stays at other properties. Finally if none of that satisfies you, there's the GM or Marriott International itself. I assure you Marriott takes it's guests concerns very seriously and will do almost anything to satisfy you and make you a return guest.

I am sorry about your bad experience. However, I have to disagree with you about the hotel's responsibility to inform you about road construction outside the hotel. It's not the hotel's fault that there is road construction nearby that can be heard by guests. This is a situation that is totally outside the control of the hotel. Is it realistic to expect the hotel to inform would-be guests about road construction and thereby forfeit business? Are you trying to say that the hotel should shut down for the duration of the road construction so as to not inconvenience guests? I can't address your other concerns about the size of room, decor, etc., but the road construction problem is one that is not the hotel's responsibility. --Gary
