Martha D. Agosto-Rivera of Superior Secretarial Custom Secretary ripped me off! She has not paid for transcription services provided to her. Cranston Rhode Island
I had contracted to do transcribing for this company. Everything was fine until I told her I could not work at home anymore and would not be able to provide her my services.
In April I had completed my last files. In May I e-mailed her regarding my last pay, she stated that it would be in my Paypal account, then a few days later she stated that she had mailed me a check and when I told her that I had not received it she would check into it.
Needless to say, I have sent her several e-mails, several voicemail messages and several AOL instant messages. She will not return anything and keeps ignoring me. All I want is the money that I am due for the work that I performed.
I have also found out that she has done this to other people as well. There is at least one job site that will no longer let her post there because she has done this to people.

Yes Mary Lou did work for my company Superior Secretarial Co. Since she started with my company she worked as a independent contractor. She was paid a rate per audio hour. She was given EXPLICIT and DETAILED instructions as to how transcripts were to be formatted and the quality/accuracy that was required. Needless to say, from the beginning there were difficulties with the work product. We informed her via Instant Message and emails that she needed to be more careful and that she needed to conform to our requirements and if we received another transcript such as the last she would not be paid as the work had to be completely redone. The last two transcripts which were done one immediately after another were completely WRONG! She uploaded them to the employees area, the next morning when the proofing department downloaded them to proof and send to the client it took my proofing department over 1 hour to proof/edit 3 pages of a transcript and therefore had to have the entire last 2 files she did completely transcribed. This caused a deadline with a client to be blown. She was informed via instant messages and certified mail that was NEVER picked up that she would not be paid for the files. Several weeks later she inquired when payment for some files that she had as being outstanding would be sent. I informed her that my recollection was that she was paid in full but, I would check my records. I did check my records and my recollection was correct, she was owed NO payment from our company. The files she had listed as being owed payment were the files that we had to have redone and had informed her she would not be paid for. After stating this to her repeatedly via instant messenger, she continued to send instant messenges and emails insisting on payment. She has made numerous claims, including one to www.OfficeMoonlighter.com (a job posting board) stating she had not been paid. Initially OfficeMoonlighter suspended my account until I provided my side of the story. My account was reactivated upon the information I provided. She has also defamed me and my company on numerous public boards, it has reached an extent that I am now consulting with a lawyer to take legal action.
