Martin an Associates SCAM!!!! THEY LIE Kansas City, Missouri
I received a call from Kristen with Martin an Associates selling insurance for high risk people. She said the insurance was an 80/20 plan covering medical, doctor's visits prescriptions etc. She said it was underwritten by blue cross blue shield, humana and a few other insurance companies. She said there was life insurance, dental, vision as well. I made inquiries further asking her if they had a website or benefit plan I could see the benefits and she said they did not but once enrolled a packet would be sent to me explaining everything.
She said it would cost $209/month with a one time $99 setup fee. I had to give a credit card for the down payment. I gave it to her and was promptly charged. I called back later asking Kristen for an email address so I could correspond with her and she said she didn't have one that I could reach her only by phone. That set off a warning buzzer in my head. I asked her why and she said HIPAA prevented it. I told her I am in the health care business and that is not the case. She stuck to her guns. I later find out via research on google they do have a website and they are a scam.
http://www.highriskhealthinsure.com/ is where they got my name. The website says they are accredited by the BBB. However on the bbb they say they are not. Also they have been reported here http://www.ripoffreport.com/health-insurance/nbla-insuance/nbla-insuance-martin-and-assoc-f7fb6.htm as a scam. I want my money back and I want it NOW!!!!!!
