Marvel Builders Faulty work Bad ethics MAJOR PROBLEMS with Bathroom remodeling job! Elkins Park Pennsylvania
Hired company 2-08 for bathroom remodeling job. Complete per foreman after 3 days of work...Salesman came to my house to get paid that day! Said that I should make a list of any problems that occur and they will come over and fix.
That night, MAJOR leak streaming down to basement level from bathroom. They put holes in the pipes when they were nailing the drywall.Patched pipe, did not replace. Duct work was altered during construction without our consent. We have no heat or air flow coming to the second floor. Numerous calls made to owner of company with no reply!
Company denied any alterations or re-routing to our duct work until we hired a company that specilaizes in this field came over and tore down the wall...only to discover that the central duct was cut in half and incorrectly re-routed. Now the company will not responsd to any of our many phonecalls in response to these findings. We have limited air or heat on our second floor level, a massive hole in my son's closet, that was not supposed to be there according to the contract. (We wanted that wall tore down & PAID for that additional work) to extend our bathroom. The bottom line is the foreman did the job HE wanted to do, or all he knew how to do....He obviously does not specialize in plumbing and/or heating as he screwed up both during construction. We paid for a job that we did not get according to our contract and we have not been able to finish our second lever waiting for this company to finish what they starter & screwed up! Now, We are out $13000, have a bathroom sink that leaks, a toilet that is loose, no shower bar to hang a curtain, a half closet with a hole in it that can not be used. Supports were removed and not replaced putting pressure on the foundation. The never even spackled the holes and cracks they made when demolishing the bathroom! I am disgusted and out $13000!!! WE WERE RIPPED OFF!
after researching this companies bad reputation, I have discovered that they are also falsly advertising that they are endorsed by the Better Business Bureau and THEY ARE NOT!!!! THAT IS FRAUD! THEIR BBB ENDORSEMENT WAS REVOKED FOR MANY UNRESOLVED COMPLAINTS!

My name is Michael Zeitz and i'm the owner of Marvel Builders,Inc.
When i became aware of my customers concerns, i immediately met with the
customer, and we agreed on a plan to rectify the issues at her home. As of today
04/07/2010 all issues have been corrected and my customer is 100% satisfied.
