Massage Envy CA tired of being bullied by Franchisee's!!! Chicago Illinois
I have worked for ME for the last year, and I must say, it has been 12 months of hell! I started working for 1 Franchisee. He was a jerk, condensending, had no people skills, and was very mean and hateful. After about 3 months of that, i liked the company and the concept so I went to another massage envy...guess what. This owner is the same way. He will tell you that ifyou have questions, comments or concers he is always there to talk with you, but when you do ask his advice, he makes you feel guilty.
He will tell you he supports your decisions, but then goes behind yoru back and tells therapists something else.
In my experience, massage envy is not a good company to work for. The people at corporate are great, but they have really no clue what is going on at the clinic level, and while yes, they are independantly owned, they still own the name! I would hate to have my name associated with the way some of the members of management are being treated. All the complaints you see onliine are about this misguided treatement of therapists, but it's not mentioned about how much crap the CA's get, and for how much work they do. I don't believe it's very fair. I've been at my clinic for 7 months now, everyone in the clinic as gotten a raise...except me...I think that's a slap in the face... I can't wait until I can find a better job!!!!
