Complaint Review: Matt B Davis - Atlanta Georgia

Mr. Matt Davis, Mr. Matt B. Davis, Matt Davis, Matt B. Davis whom owned a company known as BMT Promotions, BMT Staffing, BMT Promo, BMT Promo and Talent, BMT Promotions and Talent, BMT has not paid me a dime (to date as of today - March 12, 2013) of the money I am rightfully due from (him), having been hired by him/his company, having worked for him/his company, therefore on his payroll/his company's payroll for Sept 2012. 

The more complete story.................
I answered an ad on craigslist for trade show work. The ad stated that the prospective interviewees needed to dress in all black for the interview. I came in all black to my interview and was hired, told to come back the next, to also buy a white T-shirt at Walgreens or similar that is if I did not own the type of white T-shirt they were requiring us to wear when we actually worked.

I bought the Walgreen's white T-shirt that night after the interview and showed up early the next day for work before punch in time. I logged 4 hours of "work". I was told to come back again the next day for work and did so, I was there early before punch in time. That next day I was told that I actually wasnt needed and that I could go early. I was given 2 hours of work for that final day. I was clocked out on my time card as being owed for 6 hours of work total for the 2 days. I turned in my uniform piece(s), signed a paper to that effect.

The first day was non paid interview only = I go t hired.
The next day - I logged 4 hours of work.
The third day - I was logged out as having worked 2 hours total.
I am owed for 6 total hours of work. I have not received any payment yet for my 6 hours of logged work! 

When I finally wrote my first email inquiry to Matt Davis asking him about my paycheck (email inquiry dated Jan 11 2013), Matt replied that I should email accounting. So, I emailed accounting - same day Jan 11, 2013. I emailed Matt back (Jan 18, 2013) that I had not heard back from accounting (yet).

On Jan 22, 2013 I heard from accounting that "they had closed their doors on Dec 31, 2012" and that "we are still working on getting everyone paid".  

On Jan 22, 2013 I also received an email from Matt himself stating verbatim the following:

"I would never expect anyone to be anything but completely honest in their dealings with me personally or the company that I formerly owned. I hope your experience was positive working for us as a whole and that the late payment was the only negative part. For some people, the late payment greatly outweighs any positive experience they had with the actual day to day working of BMT. I understand this completely. I hope to get you paid soon."

I did not hear back from Matt B. Davis/Matt Davis since this final email (above) from him dated Jan 22, 2013. I did write (Matt) one more time a more strongly stated email continuing to inquire about my paycheck of which I still have received no further reply nor any paycheck to date from Matt himself or anyone else in the (now prior) organization.

I am reporting this non-payment event here in RipOff Report not only because I do not appreciate not getting paid - but because I am also worried that this man may carry forward this form of treatment to others whom are unsuspecting like I was. (Matt Davis,, Matt B. Davis) and BMT et al have evidently closed the doors to the business I refer to here and Matt himself has expressed to this fact me in an email the "company I formerly owned".

Matt B Davis, Matt Davis has gone on to be involved with other pursuits as evident via online (facebook and website(s)). Matt B Davis, Matt Davis, is not making any attempts to communicate to me nor get me paid. THIS really bothers me. 

I best believe that I am probably not singled out here, nor is it a personal incident, not directed at me personally.

Should I receive any payment(s) from this man - I will update here in RipOff Report to accurately reflect my overall business interaction with Matt Davis aka Matt B Davis.
