MCCLOSKEY MOTORS - Big Joe Auto - McCloskey Motors Inc - McCloskey Truck Town - McCloskey Imports & 4x4 MCCLOSEKY MOTORS - BIG JOE AUTO - COLORADO SPRINGS - BEWARE - LIED TO SELL A CORVETTE! - ARROGANT GENERAL SALES MANAGER!!! Colorado Springs Colorado
Purchased a 2003 Corvette from Big Joe Auto in Colorado Springs. Also goes by McCloskey Motors. Before purchased asked Salesman, Craig, if the Corvette came with two tops. He stated, yes, the Corvette has two tops with the purchase.
Decided to purchase vehicle. Went after hours where Salesman, Finance Manager (Josh) & another McCloskey employee were there to fill out paperwork. Asked where the second top was in front of Finance Manager, employee and Wife. Saleman stated that the Auto Purchaser had the top at the other McCloskey dealership. Purchased the car on Salesman's word that there was an additional top. Finance Manager, another McCloskey Employee, Myself and Wife all heard Salesman state the auto purchase included two tops.
As we got into the automobile to drive home, Salesman, Craig, Said, "I promise to get you the second top and make this right".
Numerous calls and texts to Salesman. Said he was mistaking, there was no second top but the dealship was looking to purchase one. Salesman said they were looking for an economical way to purchase the second top.
Received the exact text below from Craig, Salesman.
"So I had a meeting with the GM and he said since it did not have it and because I already ate my commision on the deal to serve you and make the numbers work there is nothing he will do".
Wife called General Sales Manager Mike Phillips to explain the situation. Asked to please make it right she said lets not please make this where we have to go to court. Unprofessional General Manager replied, "You can sue me until your pants fall down". Mike sked to email him text chain.
Sent Text chain and he said, "This does not tell me that either Craig or the company has agreed to purchase and pay for an additional Corvette top for you. I have verified in the deal that we had nothing promised or owed and it looks to me that Craig is tryign to be helpful here in finding you an economical solution for something you requested after the fact/post purchase."
Totally lied to, promised a second top. Had to purchase a used top for $575 plus $175 to paint it to match vehicle.
Now have to take the time and money to sue them in small claims court. Will file with Better Business Bureau, District Attorney and Media.
Have purchased numerous automobiles online and never had a problem. I purchase local and they rip me off!
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM MCCLOSKEY MOTORS - BIG JOE AUTO!!!!
