My wife and daughter went to the McDonalds in Fernley, NV last month and had the worst experience ever. I have since boycotted ALL McDonalds until this is resolved. Here is a copy of the email I sent to the corporate website:

My wife visited your restaurant this afternoon with my daughter. They proceeded to eat lunch after they brought the food home. My daughter (who is only 5 years old) had the kids meal with apple slices instead of french fries. After eating a couple of them she said they tasted funny. My wife looked at the date on the package and the expiration date was 9/14. That was a week ago! She immediately called the restaurant and the only thing they said was she could return them and get a new one. That's ridiculous! Where is the concern? They didn't even care that they were serving rotten fermented apples to their customers!

My daughter is now saying she has a stomach ache. My wife already called the health department to file a complaint. This McDonalds restaurant has had it's problems before, but this is the worst experience we have ever had with ANY McDonalds.

Turns out the health department for Lyon County doesn't care either since they wouldn't return our calls either (we tried to contact someone there 4 times that week with no returned calls).

The McDonalds corporate website response was a typical auto generated response saying they would forward it to someone in that area. That was a month ago and no one has contacted us since. I have tried 3 times to reach someone and nobody, I mean NOBODY even cares about this. They are serving something that expired a week earlier, the bag had a foul odor and they won't even discuss it. Their response "Bring it in and we'll replace it" just won't do it. I've worked in fast food before.

I've worked for 3 fast food places and even was assistant manager when I finally had enough and decided I wanted a real career. This is not a good enough answer, they didn't ask if anyone ate any of them, they were not simpathetic. If employees of these places that interact with customers learned to show a teenie bit of understanding and simpathy, they would eliminate most of the lawsuits (not all, but some). Some people just want to be heard, and when you don't answer their emails, don't return their calls and basically IGNORE them, they get upset and file reports (like this one). This report will probably go ignored too, who would notice this one when their are so many other people complaining about the same thing?

Regardless, I am boycotting ALL McDonald's restaurants until this issue is resolved. I can live with out them. But they can not live without the customer!
