I signed with Worldcom Wireless on March 2, 2001, phone number in Corinth, MS. for a plan that calls for 250 peak minutes and 1,000 off-peak minutes per month free long distance service. Everything was fine until I got laid off my job and had to move to Gadsden, AL. They said they would transfer my account, keep the same plan, and everything would be just like before. On November 2, 2001 I changed my account to another phone number in Gadsden, AL. Ever since then I have been billed long distance charges on calls made from my calling area. The charges were deducted from my bill until this month. I am experiencing the same long hold times, rude customer service people, and no call backs from supervisors.

They refuse now to deduct my $84.00 in long distance calls saying I moved and the plan changed. Per the terms and conditions I cannot change the rate plan so why can they? Also per the terms and conditions WorldCom will not raise the prices. This is also untrue. Airtime was .35 per minute and is now .40 per minute. When I informed them I was going to disconnect my service on March 2, 2002 when my one-year agreement was over with them they said no. The agreement started November 2, 2001 with them and they were going to charge me a $250.00 early termination penalty. I am going to short pay my bill, disconnect my service, and these guys can pound salt.
