Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This company is the reincarnation of Mr. Dew, who was prviously shut down by the state of AZ.  He is back at the exact same scam he was running before it appears.  They were intentionally damaging air conditioning units and then charging customers for repairs as well as running a call bank and not honoring the Do Not Call List.  http://www.abc15.com/dpp/money/consumer/alerts/state-files-a-complaints-against-abode-air-in-tempe-for-allegedly-intentionally-damaging-units

They came to our home in March of 2013 to conduct regular maintenance on our two AC units.  In the process they determined that all four of the capacitors in my two units needed to be replaced.  They told my wife they were outside of the acceptable range and were leaking oil.  Oil that is very toxic and is like battery acid and will burn your skin if you touch it.

My wife paid them $634 for the four capacitors.  I arrivied back at home from travelling out of state that Friday and the next day she was telling me about the service.  What they didn't realize is that I had studied electrical engineering and knew exactly what a capacitor was, how it worked, and that the oil inside of it was not toxic and is more like baby oil than battery acid.

So I looked at these capacitors that were supposedly leaking oil and found none.  When I looked at my AC units it got worse.  They had not secured the capacitors, and one was actually sitting inside it's carboard box laying on top of another one.

I stopped payment on the check and contacted my attorney.  I sent them a notice that I had stopped payment on the check and told them why.  I also filed a complaint with the states Attorney Generals office.  They then attempted to file a lien against my home, using fraudulant documentation, my attorney then had me inform them that we would seek prosecution for filing a false lien.

We scheduled a time for them to come and pick up their parts, when they showed up they refused to take their parts unless my wife signed a document stating we would not complain about them anymore and give up our rights to any legal action.  She called me downstairs and told me and I slammed my front door in their face.  We have since shipped their parts back to them at our own expense.

They thought that was going to be the end of this and they would be allowed to continue to rip people off.  But I am filing this report and taking other steps to make sure that they are prosecuted and run out of business and Mr. Dew is prohibited from starting any business again.
