I worked with different insurance company and was led down a dark and dusty trail. I left this other company after 6 months and was invited to check out UGA/MEGA/NASE. I was given some information from a current agent prior to meeting with the state manager. I had looked at all the reports, comments on this web site and others just to be ready to ask a lot of questions. I also checked out the Department of Insurance in my state and I was shocked that there were fewer complaints filed on this company than any other company since there was so much bad information on this report site. After I met with the state manager I was really impressed so I gave it a go and 3 months later I would have to say that this company is way ahead of all the other companies in many ways. I attend a company based training in the office every week where we are ground into the policies so we can inform our clients on what the policies will and will not do. If you had a bad experience with this company you may have been in the wrong group and we all know that if there is just one bad apple in the basket then it can make the whole basket rotten. I am very lucky that my group does not condone any misrepresentation of the policies in any way shape or form. We can't even produce our own ads with out the home office approvals. The things you are referring to are illegal in my state and a person would go to jail along with the company losing its right to do business in our state. I am also licensed in the state of GA and after completing my test the Georgia Department of Insurance does not allow this either. I would file a report to the GA D.O.I. and have them look in to this concern.
