Like the previous complaint, I too was ripped off by Mega Health insurance plan. Since 2 years ago when I enrolled, I have cancelled their vision plan, and subsequently their dental plan. After 2 years of collecting premiums, they refused to even pay for a portion of my dental cleaning.

When I required to have surgery, they paid less than half to my physician, leaving me with the bulk of the burden for the surgeon, hospital, diagnostics, etc. My premiums were over $550.00 per month for a 56 year old female, non-smoker, living in California. They pay next to nothing on my prescriptions, yet they increased my premiums on my policy anniversary {which I was told that they normally do not do this}. I had stopped using them for my RX and started to order my prescriptions from overseas, as they were cheaper than the Mega co-pay. Depsite, the fact that they were no longer paying for my scripts, they still increased my premiums.

Contacts with the company's personnel have been equally unpleasant. They behave as "robots" and never provide you with adequate information. I have been left "on hold" for over 30 minutes, requiring repeat telephone calls to the company over 2 1/2 hours of my work day. I have e-mailed their offices for 5 days in a row, without getting a response {despite their admonition that they will respond within 24-48 hours}. When I called and complained about this, they answered all five days e-mails all at once.
