March 27, 2009 at about 1pm I was contacted by a man claiming to be Arnold Green claiming to be calling me from a call center in Springdale PA. He had an accent medium to low range voice and very professional in his speach. The number that showed on my caller ID was 876-503-1637 Cell Phone JM.

Arnold told me I was a winner of the Megamillion Sweepstakes for $2.5 million and that I could choose a public or private delivery. Public would include media, 2 representatives from Wal-mart and Maces each as well as the company itself. He said the delivery would be in Time Magazine and aired on several news channels (Fox News, and a few others).

Arnold told me that they would deliver to me at my house a check for $2million and $500,000 cash at 3:45pm today. He had all my contact info of Phone # and Address. He also went through a long talk about the IRS and need to pay the taxes on the money within 30 days of receipt and he talked about some authorized papers that the IRS would require and that all of these would be taken care of by them for a Fee.

Arnold told me that before they could deliver the prize winnings the Fee of $475.00 must be sent by Western Union to a Stacy Ann McKnight 12 Market St. Montego Bay JA-WI. Stacy is supposedly the "Financial Controller" of the company.

Arnold was very personable asking "how does it feel to be a millionaire" and the like.

I was skeptical from the start and asked for contact information. He said he didn't have a company phone number, but referred me to the website www.megamillion.com. He told me that he doesn't know exactly how I one but it could've been through a sweepstakes entry that I lost in but got rolled over, using a credit card, or playing a lottery. I don't do any of these.

Arnold told me that he would call me back in 2 hours and confirm that I sent the money via Western Union. He also advised me not to tell anyone about my winning until the actual delivery took place because he wanted to avoid problems with the paparazzi hounding me before the delivery.

He gave me a good run around about no contact information coming from him or the website he referred me to.

In the background it sounded like he was at his home where someone was opening and closing drawers and clanging a cooking sheet or something. Also, the guy put me on hold, I think to answer a cell phone. It took about 1-2min for him to get back on to talk to me.

I hope this helps someone else. I didn't send him any money and I would say "Don't!"

There is no way I'd blindly send this guy (or Stacy) money with no contact info or accountability. When I checked the phone number it came up as a "spoof" 800 number on callercomplaints.com

Arnold Green called me back from a different number, 876-289-6492 Cell Phone JM, and asked me why I didn't send them the money. I confronted him about being a scam and he said that they were legit and that he's done all he can to prove it, referencing the www.megamillion.com website. He also said the "Stacy Ann McKnight" on Ripoff Report wasn't the same woman. When I addressed that there was no way to contact them and that the number he called me from wouldn't go through because it said it was a foreign number. He then gave me another number to call him at 202-715-2876. When I called this new number I got through and it was a man named Douglas Davis and he was going to transfer me to Mr. Green. They constantly give you a run around. When I asked about sending money, he said, "All sweepstakes companies have you do that. They require you to hire a certified accountant." I told him I could go hire one, but he said they "have to do this internally". Compare these names and numbers with some of the other complaints. Very Interesting.
