In april 2006 I wanted to surprise my husband for our wedding anniversary and I purchased a FOUNTAINBLEU KING LEATHER MARBLE bedroom suite from Mel (a guy who seemed rather decent & very polite) at decorhomes.com for the price of $5000.00 (through paypal), he said the delivery would take 6-8 weeks. After about 9 weeks, I called him & he said he was having problems with the shipping company and that it would be a few weeks longer (he seemed very apologetic). Once again after a month longer, I called again... he said there were still issues and he would take off my shipping charges ($289), so I held in for a few weeks longer. By then four months had gone by, and he says he'd throw in an extra night stand (which cost about $700) and I would have my bedroom set in about 2 weeks. Still nothing... and 4 1/2 months later, he quit answering my phone calls and his voicemail was full. By then it was to late to complain to paypal... since you can only file complaints with them in a 30 day period (They said to call my credit card company). I did and after a few months 4,000 was returned to me from the credit card company... but my other $1,000 (which was straight from my bank account) Mel ran off with. I don't understand how this man with no heart what so ever can do this to countless families and get away with it. I want him to pay for what he has done... justice needs to be served. We all work hard for our money. I atleast got $4,000 of my money back, because I luckily paid that amount with a credit card... but what happens to the people who use paypal and pay the whole amount from their savings? Something needs to be done... and I will not stop until this man is behind bars & not stealing from anymore innocent people!

Update- I finally got in touch with Mel again & he has been sending me money back over time. He still owes me $600, but I believe that he is trying to get things back on track & fix things. I will update soon.
