Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

A moment of insanity had just occurred. The Melaleuca representative who had just portrayed herself as my new best friend had just managed to have me hand over my credit card number to her. The ploy was simple--she had purposefully not informed me of the name of her company prior to our meeting. Somehow this person had persuasively caused me to think that I needed to be a part of this "dynamic" company that had so much to offer. Wrong. Not only were the number of products extremely limited--but upon spending another 85 dollars (added to my 30 dollar registration fee), I could not figure out what other products I wanted to try for the 2nd month. Not only does this company require you to purchase something every single month--whether you wish to purchase or not, they create a "back-up" order that they will send you even if you choose not to order--and you can be certain that your charge card will be charged for something you did not order, nor did you want the supplies. After spending my inital monies, I knew I had created my own nightmare by not being able to research this company prior to the extremely presuasive initial meeting with the company representative. So in order to bypass a potential charge for more product which I did not want to purchase, I cancelled my credit card and had the company mail me another card (with obviously different account numbers). Then I proceeded to tell my representative that I no longer wanted to be affiliated with the company--her response--was to offer for me to meet more Melaleuca's representatives. In no way was I instructed in a forthright manner how to actually cancel. I responded to several emails from the company telling it that I no longer wanted to participate. Then finally upon email my initial representative, she informs me that I needed to go to the web site and cancel--of course, when I actually went to the website, I ended up wasting a couple of hours--because the process kept directing me to place my current month's order. Finally, I was able to cancel--but not before the company gladly informed me that my order (which I did not place) was on its way--suddenly, I am receiving multiple telephone calls and emails from the company telling me that I need to provide them with funds to pay for the shipment that was already on its way to my house.

Thankfully, the ordered arrived when I was home--I rushed out to catch the UPS delivery person and refused the package and requested it be returned to the company. Hopefully, this nightmrare is over. This company harrassed me multiple times and was determined to get one more order (to the tune of 65 dollars for a box that was considerably smalle then a child's shoe box). Fortunately, my distrust of the company proved to be correct, and I now hope I am finished with this greedy company that misrepresents its products and is highly secretive about the company's name prior to meeting with any potential customers. They are not proud of their company's name or reputation. They hide it in fear of losing revenue.

I find it interesting that you accuse me of not doing my research. Perhaps your life does not involve a demanding full time job--but I usually spend between 60-80 hours per week on my teaching job. The woman that lured me into this company knew very well what she was doing as she used to teach school. However, she believes that she has discovered a more lucrative method of earning money. Despite my clear attempt to cancell the membership, she did absolutely nothing to help me. She was quite content to lure me into her money trap--but showed no interest whatsoever to help me get out of her sticky trap. If you read through some of the other rip off reports-you will find a common theme--it is difficult to withdraw from this company---greed is the operative word. Sadly, the products I received were sub par--I can acquire better products at my local WalMart store. I will not be wasting any more time discussing this company. I just find it "telling" that the company obviously chooses to not allow a potential customer to learn the name of the company so adequate research can be done prior to signing up for these products.

This is the most honest company I have ever dealt with and have been with the for over 8 years.  If you had a bad situtaion you pick up the phone and tell them.  In order to cancel your membership the correct way you need to send in a letter before the 25th of the month and tell them you wish to cancel.  They have a 60 day money back guarantee on any product and a 90 day money back guarantee on the vitamin line.  The only thing they you pay is the shipping because UPS owns that part of the deal.

You need to read anything you get into and not bash a company because you didn't take the time to read and understand what you are signing.  If you think things magically happen they don't.  Read the membership agreement everything is in English and they also have several other languages if English isn't your first language.  Your ingnorance is protrayed.  Why didn't you take the time to call them and fax in your cancellation letter.  Ask the person who signed you up to fax it for you or if you need help let me know and I will help you.  They will refund your money....check out the BBB site - they are not thiefs only people who don't take the time to read what they get into feel like this.  I am not sure what you were promised but can assure you that Melaleuca is not a rip off.  Not everyone in the world can be please and it clearly shows you did not do your research since rip off report was your resource.   I am not understanding how you even got the backup order - if you didn't want to order - why didn't you just cancel.  It is very easy - they can even suspense your account if you are having financial hardship.
