I bought a horse oct-26-08 and melissa Giambrone hauled the horse for me and took the horse to her house. Melissa ask me prior to doing this if my new horse could stay at her place i agreed. Once i seen the new horse i relized that she was going to be too petite for me (i bought her without seeing her). Melissa Giabrone had been begging me to sell her the new horse and said she would love to have her (misty). I seen that melissa had gotten a new horse in her "rescue" and i ask her if she just wanted to trade instead of paying me for misty and Melissa agreed. The horse i wanted to trade her for was a stallion and i ask melissa if he could stay at her place until he was gelded and she agreed. I ask how much money she would want and melissa said 100.00 a month i took melissa some money over toward the stallions food and told her i would be back the following week to give her the rest of the money. Within days of giving melissa the first money she called me and told me that she could not trade horses because the past owner was still owed money on the stallion. Melissa told me she wanted misty and would pay me the money i paid for her or she would give me a fair trade. I waited a couple weeks and i emailed her and ask her if she had the money yet and she said she wished se did. I then emailed her back and told her that she would have to pay me the money or i was taking the horse. Melissa said i could take the horse because she didn't have the money but if i wanted the horse back it would cost 475.00. The horse had been at her place less than 3 weeks at this point and i couldnt understand why she was asking so much money. Melissa said that misty was a crazy horse, she is not safe and that misty ripped her fences down. So she said i owe her for new fences, i told her she was lying about misty doing that. Melissa never once mentioned to me that misty ripped down fences until i ask her to pay me. I ask the former owner and they said that misty was not distructive and would not tear a fence down. I have tried my best to get my horse back i offered melissa the feed money that she has into misty but she refuses to give her back. I took my bill of sale to the ohio police department and all the emails to and from melissa but they cannot help me. I filed a claim against melissa but that could take awhile. In the mean time melissa has my horse misty for sale on dreamhorse and i fear she will be sold before we can even get to court. I have all the proof i need in the emails, i have the bill of sale for misty and the emails proving that melissa reneged on the deal. This woman is the worst scam artist i have ever seen.

Who ever wrote the ad about being ripped off by Melissa i would love to talk to you. Melissa has scammed many people and needs to be stopped and you are right the police do nothing to stop her. Misty was my horse i bought her in PA and Melissa hauled her for me, i paid the fee to have Misty hauled as well as 2 other "rescued" paints. Melissa kept Misty and would not let me have her back. I have been to the police etc and so far nothing. So i guess she used you to foot the bill for feeding Misty until she finally got rid of her else where. Please feel free to contact me my number is (((Redacted))). Thank You Pam B.

I was told Misty had been abandonded by her owner so I asked if I could buy her. I paid for all her expenses for 5 months while excuses were made as to the legality of the sale. They asked their friend's husband, a BMV lawyer to help them. He was unaware I was buying and paying for Misty. Misty disapeared one morning and I was told she had gotten out of the fence and had to be taken to a freinds home. Melissa sold he to a woman named Kathy in Freedom Ohio. My other horses were at Melissa's barn adn the APL was called out. I was blamed and asked to leave. Melissa tried to stop me from taking my horses wioth me. I had to get a police escort to get them off her property. Melissa in retaliation has stolen a Boxer female, a fedx and ebay package from my porch, $200 cash, poultry, adn horse show tack from my home. The police do nothing to her. She gets away with everything.
