Bradenton,#2Consumer Suggestion
Sun, May 06, 2007
Ken, Do you use a dial up or DSL connection? If so, you probably have been the victim of a "dialer program" getting installed on your computer without your knowledge. This is very common. Having a good antivirus/antispyware program on your computer is essential. I suggest doing your dispute in writing and send by certified mail, return reciept requested with the cerified# on the letter itself. Clearly state that you did not make the calls and have no knowledge of who has that number. Demand proof that you actually made the calls from your residence. They can investigate this, but they do not want to lose the revenue on the calls. Good luck in getting those charges reversed.
